All meals, snacks and drinks are included in the fees. Children have a hot meal each lunchtime and snacks mid morning, mid afternoon and at tea time. Breakfast is served before 8.30am. All dietary needs can be catered for. There is no discount for children bringing in their own food.
We can do Term Time only contracts for families that work in teaching or training, or simply want their children at home with siblings during school holidays. ALL school age children automatically change to Term Time Contracts meaning you only book the care you need during the school holidays. We will also try our best to assist with flexible contracts for shift workers also, but this is only if space allows.
Once registered parents are given a link to our software system FAMLY. Once logged into this, you will receive daily notifications via the app of all childs activities including sleep times, nappy changes, meals eaten, activities etc. This will also show childs learning journey and photographs. This FAMLY app can also be used by both parents and nursery to send messages, newsletters, invoices and more. The best form of communication however, is the daily communication with staff when dropping your child to us, or collecting. Staff will be able to give you a brief outline of the childs day, and parents can ask any questions they wish.
Once you have been to visit and view the setting and decided to join, Management will organise a settling plan for you. Each child is different and some will take longer than others. We will work with the family to ensure that the child does not become overly distressed and will arrange short periods to visit. Over a few day/weeks the visits can be extended until such time the child starts their normal sessions. All settling sessions during the first 2 weeks are not charged. Parents are welcome to stay during settling but this is not always a good idea as the child starts to think that this will be the case moving forward, so we do discourage it if possible.
If your child is ill then the reserved session still needs to be paid for. Staff are given contracts based on expected numbers of children and so we are unable to dismiss staff at short notice.
If a child is hospitalised (overnight stay) then the fees will be waived.
All Full time contracts entitle child to 2 weeks per year charged at 50% of fees. Term Time only contracts have no holiday entitlement.
